Jay Grayce Variety Show #133
It’s a Perfect Day when we have author Susan May on to talk about her book Nick’s New Heart. The book is about how her son at a very young age was able to get a heart transplant and along with that how she ,her husband and their other children got through all the high drama involving the ordeal. Nick now 20 is still doing fine he does have some restrictions but his new promise on life and the love he receives from his family is all that he needs. It’s a good thing Susan hates Math and at age 6 began her love affair with books. Who knows maybe one day she will get her chance to write a script to a 007 film since her other love affair is being a number 1 James Bond fan. The perfect day continues with an exclusive for us when we say Hellooooo BETTY and both Alyson Palmer and her other half Tony Salvatore join us to premiere the debut of BETTY’s new CD produced by David Maurice. David Maurice (who is producing Kelis) produced and mixed their 8th album, “Bright & Dark”. Artwork is by Dan Shaffer, the creator of Dogwitch comix. It drops 6/6/09. Some of the songs will be featured ever so appropriately on the hit TV show Ugly Betty. Strike while the Iron is Hot indeed and fresh from just winning an award from BMI for their theme song for the L-Word the 3 women band BETTY had won 2 Emmys and another BMI award for Career Excellence back in 2007. When Alyson isn’t busy with sisters Elizabeth and Amy Ziff of BETTY she is playing with her long time lover Tony in a group called Pleasuredog and together they have one for kids a Tot Rock Band called Tone Alley. They also play kid’s music with another band called Big Yard. I for one would love to see them follow up with another Off Broadway hit to their one called BETTY Rules. Alyson is also busy being an activist, a mom as well as an actress appearing in L Word and How to be a Millionaire. It’s no wonder she has never had to get a real job!
