Jay Grayce #111

In continuation and recognition of Women’s History Month did someone say Organ Donor ? We say Organ Player and both Jay and Colin give Gail Archer an ear-full to her music from her 2007 Grammy Nominated CD called “A Mystic in the Making”. We were delighted to have this Scottish organ composer on St. Paddy’s day to celebrate with leprechauns O’ Jay and O’ Colin. After all every once in awhile we all need a fine tuning and for Jay and Colin they got their top o’ the mornin one from Gail. Gail tells us all about her concerts in celebrating famous composer’s birthdays one still going on with the bi-centennial of composer Felix Mendelssohn at synagogues in NYC. The six sonatas, compositions from Mendelssohn has always been a favorite with her and she has been performing them each one at a different time at a different synagogue you can still catch # 5 sonata at Temple Emanu-El  5ht ave. between 65th and 66th sts. on April 1st at 7:30 pm and # 6 sonata at Central Synagogue 123 East 55th st. bet. Park and Lex aves. on May 20th at 7:30 pm
My only request is I hope to hear Gail play one of my favorite composers Lurch and the Adams Family theme song. Gail Archer started playing at a very young age and she has quickly risen to become one of America’s most successful renown organist of our time second to Lurch, lol. You can visit Gail Archer at www.gailarcher.com
